Join local historian and author Steven Horton for walk/talk of Calderstones Park and surrounding area on Sunday 11th July at 1pm. Steven will talk about the history of the former mansion house, the 1,000 year old Allerton Oak, the grave of a World War 2 rescue dog and the homes of some notable people in the locality including one house where two different occupants were knighted. There’ll also be a couple of murder/mystery tales. The tour will start and finish from the park sign next to the public car park off Calderstones Road and costs £5 per adult, under 16s free, dogs welcome. If you wish to see the restored calder stones, then you can do so at the Mansion House up until 4pm.  Payment by cash on the day or contactless via booking form below.
