The next walking tour by local author and historian Steven Horton of Liverpool Hidden History is of the Kensington area on Saturday 20th November 2021, starting at 11am.

This tour will take in the area bounded by Deane Road, Edge Lane, Low Hill and Kensington. It will include the history of local churches, tales from some of the pubs, notable residents of the area including footballers, scientists, actors, sopranos and politicians behind some of the most important legislation in the nation’s history. There’ll also be some quirky stories and murderous tales.

The tour will last about 2 hours and starts and finishes outside the entrance to Deane Road cemetery, opposite the way in to the Lidl car park. It costs £5 per adult, free for 16 and under. Payment by cash on the day or in advance online via the link. Any advance payments will be refunded if you cannot make it on the day.
